Welcome back to another school year! As school counselors, it is our responsibility to help support your child to receive the best possible education. We believe education includes not only learning how to read, write, and do math, but also social-emotional learning. This means, among other things, learning how to have a good relationship with others, making positive decisions, developing coping skills, accepting responsibility, and respecting individual differences. A large part of our role includes supporting children within these areas when they are having trouble.

We are also here to help students who are facing various family changes such as illness, death, or divorce. If your family is experiencing circumstances that could affect your child’s learning at school, please let us know. It is important to remember that when school personnel and parents work together, it is a winning combination for children.
